Family, friends and former colleagues of George P. Pilkey

George P. Pilkey, teacher, mentor, counselor, devoted father and grandfather, Adirondack 46er, and nature lover died on February 11, 2019 doing what he loved most, hiking and communing with nature. George worked for many years at Empire State College as a professor and mentor, retiring in August 2018. The George P. Pilkey Memorial Scholarship was established in his memory by his family, friends and colleagues. With gratitude to George’s widow Melissa Pilkey.
