Ann '86 and Bruce Turner

After a more than 45-year career serving as an executive in a variety of industries, alumna Ann Turner ‘86 retired in 2023 from her role as a senior consultant with Pivotal Advisors in Minnesota. Previously, Ann worked as a senior development officer at Keuka College in Penn Yan, NY; she worked for Chobani leading their employee engagement and on-boarding efforts; and at Kodak for 33 years where she held a variety of management positions. Ann was an associate member of the American Society of Cinematographers, an advisory board member for Film and Digital Media at Savannah College of Art and Design, a board member at the Curtiss Museum in Hammondsport, NY, and at the George Eastman House, the Little Theatre and Asbury First United Methodist church in Rochester. She is an executive sponsor for Edge’s Women Leaders in Technology Professional Network. She has been a board member of the Empire State College Foundation since 2008 and served as Chair for two terms. In 2015, Ann received the Award for Outstanding Service to the College. In 2004, she was the recipient of the prestigious Kodak’s CEO Diversity award, which recognizes company leaders who consistently find ways to bring diverse groups together. She has been inducted into the Monroe Community College (MCC) Alumni Hall of Fame. Ann holds an Associates degree from Monroe Community College and a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Empire State College.

Impact

Established in 2022 through the generosity of Ann S. Turner ’86, former chair of the Empire State College Foundation Board and her husband Bruce, the Turner Family Scholarship is available to undergraduate students with financial need who meet the Empire State College Foundation’s scholarship eligibility criteria.
