Charles R. Wood Foundation

The Charles R. Wood Nurse Educator Program enables BSN-prepared nurses employed at regional hospitals to earn an MSN while continuing to work in their clinical roles. Funding through the Nurses Up North Scholarship will offset tuition costs for three MSN in Education students employed by the University of Vermont Health Network (UVMHN) in Franklin and Clinton counties, providing $4,000 per student annually for two years.

About the Charles R. Wood Foundation
The Charles R. Wood Foundation was founded in 1978 with a mission to provide assistance to areas of special need in the Lake George Region and surrounding areas. Not-for-profit organizations with an emphasis on programs for children, healthcare, and the arts are the beneficiaries of Mr. Wood’s generosity. A board of trustees oversees the foundation with a goal to preserve the mission established by Charles R. Wood.
