Foner Fellowship in Work, Culture and Social Change

With gratitude to the Foner family.

The Foner Fellowship in Work, Culture, and Social Change was created as a tribute to Moe Foner, the founder and director of the Bread and Roses Cultural Project of the National Hospital Workers Union. Mr. Foner believed that culture, work, social justice and the arts should be deeply intermingled. The fellowship supports Empire State College graduate students in artistic and cultural fields who actively share Mr. Foner’s vision and who use the arts in the service of workers, the disenfranchised, community development and social change.
