The T. Urling and Mabel B. Walker Scholarship was established to assist students who reside in Watertown or the greater North Country.

Tom Walker was involved early on with the establishment of the Watertown Unit of Empire State University and formerly served as a member of the SUNY Empire Foundation Board of Directors. Mabel Walker ‘79 had a long career in healthcare and became one of the most ardent supporters of the college’s nursing program. Mabel passed away in December 2020 and Tom passed away in 2022. The Walkers were longtime benefactors of the university and philanthropists within the greater Watertown area.
