Morton Bahr '83 Distance Learning Scholarship

For undergraduate distance learning students – preference for members of a labor union.

The scholarship, created in the name of late Empire State University alumnus Morton Bahr, assists union members and other workers by furthering their undergraduate educational goals and enhancing educational access through distance learning. Additional application materials are required. Visit our website for more information.

Two essays are required:
Essay #1: What are your personal, career and educational goals and accomplishments and explain how a Bahr Scholarship will help you to accomplish your goals.

Essay #2: Use one of the quotes located on our website, from the president of the Communications Workers of America, Morton Bahr, as a platform for launching your own ideas or the ideas of others on a similar theme. Create your essay in response to these ideas. We will use this essay as a sample of your writing and communication skills.
