Joyce E. Elliott Pride Scholarship

For undergraduates in the liberal arts and sciences who advocate for LGBTQ issues.

Established in 2014 through the generosity of Joyce E. Elliott, a retired faculty mentor at SUNY Empire’s former Center for Distance Learning. The scholarship is available to students enrolled in any program. Preference is given to matriculated undergraduate students with demonstrated financial need who actively advocate for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender or Queer/Questioning (LGBTQ) issues. Recipients should demonstrate strong writing skills and be pursuing degrees in liberal arts and sciences.
