COVID-19 Emergency Educational Grant

SUNY Empire State College, in partnership with our Empire State College Foundation, has established a fund to provide grants of up to $500 to assist students enrolled in the summer or fall 2020 terms who are experiencing difficulty completing their studies due to the impact of coronavirus. The grants will assist students who are experiencing educationally-related financial hardship that may impact their ability to complete their coursework due to the impact of coronavirus on our communities. At the close of the application period, the awards committee will assess all applications and make awards to qualifying students as appropriate.  Our desire is to support as many students as possible therefore the maximum award amount will not exceed $500 and will likely be less depending on the volume of qualified applicants. Please limit your request to what you really need and list your expenditures in detail and how COVID-19 was the cause of hardship. Priority will be given to students who have not previously received COVID-related funding. Please note that in accordance with preferences of the donor of these funds, the current Emergency Educational Grant awards are primarily focused on basic needs, therefore tuition and technology expenses are not eligible.
